The Middle River Regional jail is currently accepting internal/external applications for the position of:

Salary:                                        $34,240

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

​

Basic requirements include high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 21 years of age or older. Valid Virginia Driver’s License; good oral and written communication skills; and clean criminal history record. Drug screen and background check will be performed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet visitors and attorneys at the front reception desk. Represents the jail in a professional, pleasant and courteous manner. Answers all telephone calls in a timely manner and forwards to the appropriate person/department.

Makes standard/routine decisions based on established policy.

Must have the ability to deal tactfully and patiently with visitors, attorneys, staff and the general public.
