Tech For Troops Donation

Recently, MRRJ replaced several computers in our facility. Normally, used units are placed up for auction. Since COVID-19 has had monetary effects on our community, Middle River Regional Jail wanted to do our part to give back to those in need.

On Friday, 9/11/2020, Lt. Brown and our IT Technician donated the used computers and monitors to Tech For Troops.Tech For Troops (T4T) provides veterans and active duty military personnel transitioning to civilian work who are either in need, unemployed, underemployed or homeless and their families with gifted refurbished computers. In less than 5 years, T4T has gifted over 1,500 computers to in need veterans. Perhaps more importantly, T4T educates veterans on how to put their new computer to work.T4T is the Fastest Growing Veterans Organization Bridging the Digital Divide for Veterans and their Families in the USA.
